My name is Joseph Pena. I have always had a great passion for video games, and more specifically creating art for them. My experiences working with Games, film, and commercials has given me great insight as to what I want to do in the game industry as well as for a game company. I have worked amongst numerous styles, genres, and mediums. Whether it is low poly character creation, or full on next gen character creation, I want to work on great games that have art that gamers can enjoy just as much as the game itself.
Most of my industry experience has been working for outsourcing companies such as Gamecentric Media, Crazy Pixel Productions, and Technicolor Interactive. Even my most recent gig at Sony has had creating characters for other divisions of Sony Computer Entertainment. This has given me great insight and knowledge into numerous pipelines, game engines, exporters, tricks, and overall art creation across extended and short deadlines.
I take great pride in meeting deadlines, being on time to work, staying late when need be, being a team player, and helping others. I also enjoy working with others, allowing them to show me any wisdom they may have to better suit the need of the studio. I enjoy taking on new challenges with each job. I love learning whatever I can to help improve not only my artwork, but the company overall as well. |
